BushGreen Live is a series of events to enhance and complement the work on our stage. Taking a variety of formats, including late-night events and pre- and post-show debates, BushGreen Live events are incorporated into our programme, with the intention of offering a range of opportunities for writers, directors, creatives and interested audiences to engage more deeply with the Bush’s work.
Alison established Julie’s Bicycle in 2007 as a non-profit company helping the music industry reduce its environmental impacts and develop new thinking in tune with global environmental challenges. JB has since extended its remit iacross the creative industries; it is acknowledged as the leading organization bridging sustainability with the arts and culture. She is a school governor, a London Leader, on the board of Tonic Theatre, a judge on the Observer Ethical Awards and the Royal College of Arts Sustainable Design Awards.
Alistair joined Green Alliance, the UK’s leaving environmental think tank, in 2012 and has since become their Head of Politics. He works with MPs across party lines to encourage strong policy ideas to tackle environmental problems. He manages joint advocacy work with the major NGOs, working across civil society. Alastair was previously senior campaigns advisor on energy and climate change at a major trade association and has also worked in parliament and as a journalist.
Danielle is an activist and campaigner who’s been involved in a range of grassroots movements working on social and environmental justice. Politicised by Climate Camp, she helped initiate the direct action network UK Uncut that put corporate tax avoidance firmly on the political map and is founder and chair of Move Your Money. She currently works coordinating the rapidly growing fossil fuel divestment campaign in the UK for 350.org, and was recently featured in BBC 3’s documentary ‘Fighting the System’ about young activists.
George is the founder of the Climate Outreach Information Network and author of Don’t Even Think About It: Why our Brains Are Wired to Ignore Climate Change. He blogs at www.climatedenial.org
Juliet is the founder and CEO of Good Energy, one of the UK’s first 100% renewable electricity supply and generator companies. The company has topped the Which? energy company customer satisfaction survey for three out of the last four years, and recently winning two consecutive MoneySavingExpert polls. A founding member of the Social Stock Exchange, Good Energy has set the energy market standard for ethically and socially responsible companies. In January 2013, Juliet Davenport was awarded the OBE for services to renewables.
Louisa has been involved with the UK Youth Climate Coalition since 2011. She has just finished a stint as the Director of UKYCC’s International Engagement team. As part of UKYCC delegations to the UN climate talks since 2012, she has facilitated training workshops for the international youth climate movement, and co-ordinated civil society actions . In her day job, she works for environmental NGO E3G as the UK-EU co-ordinator. Before joining E3G, she worked at Counter Culture communications agency, Friends of the Earth, the Robin Hood Tax campaign and Responding to Climate Change news site.
