ALT B: Shin Suzuma – Neo Classical Piano

An intimate concert from neo classical pianist and composer, Shin Suzuma.

Shin Suzuma’s first two EPs Introspect and Silhouettes are about the comfort we can find in moments of solitude and reflection. Written for solo piano, with a small and intimate audience in mind.

Shin Suzuma is a pianist and composer. Inspired by the sonic and harmonic creativity of Chilly Gonzales and Nils Frahm. His long-held love of improvisation developed over many years towards composition. Being of mixed British and Japanese heritage his other inspirations include the Japanese artists Ryuichi Sakamoto and Joe Hisaishi.

Many of his piano compositions written and played in such a way to create a sense of intimacy and calm. With the occasional touch of melancholy, his music always has a prevailing sense of hope and gentle optimism.
