What do you treasure? Who do you admire? What great acts of kindness have you received? If you had to give the gift of a story, whose story would you tell?
Our Neighbourhood Company have been asking these questions of themselves, and venturing out to the Shepherds Bush community to find the people who are local treasures and unearth their acts of kindness and giving to others. They’ve developed skills in community research and conducting interviews and Mudlarking: Audio Stories is an exhibition showcasing the conversations they’ve recorded with their local treasures.

This stunning free interactive audio exhibition takes over the Bush front of house area for a limited run of one week.

Maja Lach (pronounced “My-ah”) is a freelance stage manager and migrant based in London. Originally from Poland, she had never lived this close to the sea before and has been consistently cold since 2018. She’s interested in creating accessible theatre with a focus on disability, community and immigrant issues. She wants to amplify queer, migrant and minority voices in theatre, starting with her own. Her credits include: Circ-ulate at Jacksons Lane, Addictive Beat for Boundless Theatre and Diary of a Somebody at the Seven Dials Playhouse. She is currently working as SM on The Misandrist at the Arcola Theatre.
Molly is a theatre-maker & playwright. Recent projects include; The Keyworkers Cycle (Almeida Theatre), Sweet Silver Song of the Lark (Nordland Teater, Norway), Sinder (Dundee Rep), Me for the World (Young Vic Taking Part). Her plays for young people include; The Wave (Almeida), What Was Left (Southwark Playhouse), Cacophony (Almeida / The Yard). Her play Old Times will be performed at the National Theatre in June 2023, as part of the NT Connections Festival. As a dramaturg & facilitator, she runs writing programmes for young people at the Donmar Warehouse & Lyric Hammersmith.
