The Secret Life of Plays

Bushgreen at the Library
Playwright Steve Waters will be joined by Josie Rourke, Artistic Director of The Bush Theatre, and Sebastian Born, Associate Director (Literary) of the National Theatre, to discuss issues affecting playwrights today: how plays are commissioned, how to take control of the writing process, and how playwrights can address topical issues in their writing.

The event is a must for members of Bushgreen and anyone interested in the state of playwriting today. Steve’s latest play, Little Platoons, opens at The Bush Theatre on 19th January, and his book The Secret Life of Plays (published by Nick Hern Books) will be on sale at a special discounted price at the event.

The conversation will take place in the Bush Theatre’s new home, the Old Shepherds Bush Library. Entry is free but as places are strictly limited please book through the Bush Theatre box office on 020 8743 5050 or email [email protected] with name, address and contact phone number. The event will begin at 5pm and finish by 6.30pm in time for those wishing to go to Little Platoons at the Bush that evening. Refreshments will be served.
