Freedom Studios Playwriting Workshop with Madani Younis

Madani Younis, Playwright and Artistic Director of Freedom Studios presents a writing workshop for budding playwrights at The Bush Theatre’s library site on Monday 29th November from 2pm – 5pm.

The workshop will include:
• A structural and technical overview of a three/ five act linear naturalistic English play.
• A comparative understanding of theatrical form from the Caribbean and sub-continent highlighting how cultural, religious and physical movements of peoples have informed theatrical form.
• WHOSE STORY? The creation of a monologue by each participant that engages in their story.
• Collective story telling. Working to shape and recreate a collective story.
• Sharing simple techniques to begin breaking form.
