Write to Play present an evening with Helen Edmundson
This is a unique opportunity to hear Helen in conversation with Giles Croft (Artistic Director of Nottingham Playhouse) about her life and work, listen to a reading from one of her plays, and take part in a Q&A.
Helen is a British playwright whose first play Flying was produced at the National Theatre Studio in 1990. Since then, her work for the theatre has included: The Clearing, first performed at the Bush Theatre (Time Out Award & John Whiting Award); Mother Teresa is Dead (Royal Court Theatre); and four stage adaptations for Shared Experience Theatre – Anna Karenina, The Mill on the Floss, War and Peace, and Gone to Earth. Her adaptation of Coram Boy premiered at the National Theatre in November 2005 and was revived a year later (Time Out Award).
