The Neighbourhood Project

by Molly Taylor, Samuel Wood and the Company
A Bush Theatre and Look Left Look Right production created in collaboration with the residents of Hammersmith & Fulham.

The Neighbourhood Project is a devised performance made and performed by the people on our doorstep – local residents – in collaboration with award-winning theatre company Look Left Look Right. It will take place over four days in reclaimed office space in Television Centre East Tower in White City.

“If the stars turned the telescope on us
What would they see?

They would see a tiny patch of earth
Called Shepherd’s Bush.”

Mervyn used to have a telescope. He kept it on the fourteenth floor, on the roof. From time to time he would go there to look upwards and feel peace.

Turning the telecope towards themselves and their home in Shepherd’s Bush, a company of people from our neighbourhood have devised a piece of theatre full of glittering revelations and heartfelt home truths.

Whether you’re a Londoner by birth, by choice, or by accident, this city is under all of our feet. The Neighbourhood Project is one for all of us.
