Play in a Week: Hir

Mon 07 - Fri 11 Aug

So we live in a post-gender world, right?

Want to perform at the Bush Theatre? If you’re aged 16-21 join Milk Presents (Associate Company of the Bush) to create a brand new show in the summer holidays inspired by our production Hir.

What might a post-gender utopia even look like? A world free from pinks and blues? If we didn’t have gender, how would his and her’s happy meals work? Or toilets? Or onesies?

Ladies, gentlemen and everyone beyond the binary, join Milk Presents in a practical week of workshops for the curious and make a new theatre performance exploring gender and identity. With a team of young gender-fierce theatre makers we want to solve the world’s big questions. Or at least start asking big questions about the world.

Mon 7 – Fri 11 August (11am-4.30pm) with a final performance on the Friday at 2.30pm

You must live in one of the following boroughs: Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea, Westminster, Ealing, Brent and Harrow. Please provide your address and date of birth when you book. We especially welcome all LGBTQ+ identifying people and friends.

This project is supported by John Lyons Charity, Arts Council England and Jerwood Charitable Foundation.
