James Acaster: Cold Lasagne Hate Myself 1999

“Looking around my bedroom now I’m counting four deodorants. Only one of them contains anything but I don’t know which one. I don’t know why I’m not throwing deodorants away once I’ve finished using them. They’re all roll on though so that makes me feel a bit like a grown up at least.

Anyway, on top of this palaver, I’ve got to write another show and while this deodorant thing makes for a novel blurb it’s certainly not making it in. But it should give you an idea of where I was at when writing said show so you can probably expect a similar tone. I decided on the title when I was drunk.”

James Acaster reflects on the best and worst years of his life. As of yet the show contains no mention of lasagne, cold or otherwise, but in 2017 James discovered that cold lasagne tastes better than hot lasagne. If it’s good anyway. Bad lasagne is actually better hot. But good lasagne is better cold. There’s plenty in the show about hating himself though.
