CLASS

God. I hate classrooms. Give me the heebie jeebies. Even still.

Brian and Donna’s son, Jayden, is nine years old, and he’s struggling. That’s what his teacher says. Mr McCafferty thinks Jayden should see a psychologist. But Brian and Donna never liked school, never liked teachers.

So are they going to trust this one?

And should they?

CLASS is a “hugely entertaining” (Irish Times) and “emotionally explosive” (Mail on Sunday) confrontation over learning difficulties, love and entitlement. Side-splittingly funny and beautifully observed, with rave reviews, a sold-out run at the Abbey Theatre and a Fringe First Award from Edinburgh, CLASS is new Irish writing at its finest.

“An inspired look at society through the prism of a parent-teacher meeting”
The Sunday Times ★★★★★
“three terrific performances, two exceptional writers and directors, and one extraordinarily brilliant script”
The Arts Review ★★★★★

Charles Holloway OBE: From West London to the West End

Benedict Lombe’s play Shifters transferring from the Bush Theatre to the West End was a milestone moment: for the artists involved, the audiences they engaged, and the future of British theatre it will inspire. It offers a glimpse of what commercial theatre in this country could be. And as Bush audience members and supporters know,…
