The Board of Trustees use their skills and experience to support the Bush as a charity.
Uzma Hasan (Chair)
Uzma Hasan is Chair of the Bush Theatre. She sits on the board of Ffilm Cymru Wales, the development agency for Welsh film and on juries for BAFTA, BIFA and Film London. Previously, she was a non executive director at Channel 4 and a trustee at Bird’s Eye View, a non profit that campaigns for gender equality in film.
Uzma is a producer who makes subversive stories for global palates. Her latest feature film CREATURE is directed by Academy Award winner Asif Kapadia (AMY) in a ground breaking, genre busting collaboration with Lawrence Olivier Award winning choreographer Akram Khan (DESH). She has worked across four continents, with independents and studios including Focus Features, Doha Film Institute and Tribeca Enterprises on the development, production and exploitation of feature films.
She read Film and Literature at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences where she was a Kennedy Scholar.
Jim Marshall (Chair of F&A)
Jim is Chair of the Finance & Audit Committee. His other roles include a Trustee of the Motor Neurone Disease Association, the biggest charitable funder of MND research in the UK, chairing the Finance & Audit Committee. He acts as a Governor and Chair of the Finance & Resources Committee of the South Thames College Group, a group of four further education colleges in South London. Jim is also a Trustee of The Triangle Trust 1949 Fund, a grant giving charity supporting organisations that aim to reduce reoffending rates of young offenders.
Jim recently retired as Senior Vice President of Global Tax for Pearson plc having previously held the same position at Cadbury plc and worked in a number of senior tax roles in the UK and the US. Jim also acted as a Pension Fund Trustee and member of the Finance Leadership Group at both Pearson and Cadbury.
Mark Dakin
Mark Dakin is, in his role as a TAIT UK Principal – Placemaking, working globally out of TAIT’s Kings Cross office in London. Building on over 45 years of professional theatre experience, working as a Technical Director, Production Director and Project Manager for some of the UK’s most prolific, producing, performing arts organisations including The Royal Opera House – Covent Garden, The National Theatre, English National Opera, Theatre Royal – Stratford East, The Young Vic, Cameron Macintosh Ltd and Really Useful Group, his TAIT role works to maintain existing and build new partnerships with Artists, Producers and Organisations, to create culture defining experience through continuous innovation, especially (but not exclusively) in the Performing Arts sector. Mark is dyslexic art school drop out with a passion for delivering high performance in creative environments, a commitment for building inclusive, equitable and brave places of work and an aptitude for the detailed work of culture change. He is also a proud ABBT Fellow, Stage Sight Co-Director a Tangle Associate and Trustee of The Genisis Theatre Design Program and The Bush Theatre.
Kim Evans
Kim is a creative practitioner and leader with a deep interest in new writing and social justice. Until she was four, she assisted her father in his magic act and the love of theatre stayed with her. She is now a Trustee of The Bush Theatre and was previously Chair of Clean Break theatre company, which works with women with experience of the criminal justice system. She is a Trustee of Arvon and the Forward poetry charity and was formerly Deputy Chair of the National Portrait Gallery.
As a consultant, Kim supports the development of artists, cultural leaders and Boards. Her earlier roles include Executive Director Arts at Arts Council England and Head of Music & Arts at the BBC. She began her career directing arts programmes for The South Bank Show, Channel 4 and then the BBC, where she won a BAFTA for her film Angela Carter’s Curious Room.
Keerthi Kollimada
Keerthi Kollimada (Kiki) is both the Executive Director & joint CEO of the National Student Drama Festival, and the Finance Director at Headlong Theatre. She’s also a freelance consultant for artistic organisations, with a love for volunteering. As well as being a Trustee at the Bush Theatre, Keerthi is a Trustee for Wayward Productions and she also volunteers in mental health; she is a Samaritan and a facilitator for Talk For Health, an enterprise that supports peer-to-peer counselling groups in her local community.
Keerthi has worked in both subsidised and commercial theatre and prior to her current roles, she was the Head of Finance at Mark Rubinstein Ltd, and Complicité before that. She has worked on everything from West End Musicals & plays, to festivals, immersive theatre and touring – both in the UK and internationally.
Keerthi started her career as a Finance Manager for a large NHS Trust, and she moved to London over 10 years ago to work in theatre. She loves the industry, and is especially passionate about inclusion, emerging talent, and how we create opportunities for access and representation in theatre and our creative communities.
Anthony Marraccino
Anthony Marraccino is Chief Financial Officer at Compass Partners, a midsize private equity firm, is a native New Yorker and has lived in London since 2005 with his spouse and two teens, all huge Bush Theatre fans.
Anthony sits on the boards of and assists several charities, including the Earls Courtiers (a local theatre group that focuses on developing young actors) and Denbigh Under Fives Group (a West London nursery school with lower than average fees).
Anthony also worked with PwC in New York and Paris for several years where he provided a wide range of merger and acquisition services to both financial and strategic buyers in the US, Europe and Asia.
Anthony is a graduate of St John’s University in New York.
Rajiv Nathwani
Rajiv Nathwani is the Senior Director of Marketing for Netflix UK, Ireland & Israel. He joined the company in 2015 as one of the founding members of the London office. Rajiv and his team are responsible for defining Netflix’s global marketing and social media approach for some of the world’s most-loved TV shows, films and documentaries including The Crown, Sex Education, Black Mirror, F1: Drive To Survive, Tinder Swindler, Too Hot To Handle & Top Boy.
Prior to joining Netflix, Rajiv spent 5 years at the BBC where he was Head of Social Media for BBC Television, and before that an Assistant Producer for EastEnders.
Rajiv served as a member of the inaugural BAFTA Youth Board (2012-2014) and the Learning and New Talent Committee (2015-2017). He has also previously sat on the board for The Birmingham Repertory Theatre (2012-2016) and London International Festival of Theatre (2013-2016).
Kwame Owusu
Kwame Owusu is a director and writer. Work as a director includes Dreaming and Drowning (also writer) at the Bush Theatre; Earthquakes in London at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama; The Unreturning, Blister, and Othello at ArtsEd; The Bacchae at the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre; stoning mary at Arts University Bournemouth; and The Wolf from the Door at the John Thaw Studio. Work as an associate director includes FANGIRLS at the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre; and The Big Knife at ArtsEd. Work as a Staff Director includes Romeo and Julie at the National Theatre and Sherman Theatre. Work as an assistant director includes Lyonesse at the Harold Pinter Theatre; Closer, Britannicus,
Stephen Pidcock
Stephen is a solicitor at Clintons in Central London, with a broad practice that covers theatre, live entertainment, intellectual property and media. Has also advises on corporate and commercial matters in the fields of marketing and PR, book publishing, fashion, leisure, retail and others.
Before qualifying as a solicitor, Stephen worked in various departments at the Royal Court Theatre including fundraising, administration, literary and the press office before working as a theatre publicist for The Corner Shop PR in the West End and across the UK. As a publicist, his clients included the Bush, and many other leading theatres and production companies, in the West End and across the country.
Stephen is also an award-winning translator of new Italian plays and a member of UK Theatre and the Charity Law Association. As well as the Bush Theatre, he is a trustee of Mercury Musical Developments.
Catherine Score
Cathy Score is a lawyer and a major donor of the Bush Theatre. Cathy became a trustee of the Bush in October 2018.
Cllr Mercy Umeh
Cllr Mercy Umeh is the Landlord Trustee for the Bush Theatre, Chair of the Licensing Committee, Lead Member for Culture & Heritage and Councillor for Shepherd’s Bush Green.
